I've been writing computer programs for 25 years, and getting paid for it for 22 years.  Here are some of the organizations I've done computer work for in consulting, project leadership, and team member roles:

Web design is my newest technical pursuit.  It combines my technical and analytical skills with my writing and artistic talents.  It's a rewarding combination.

I devoted five years of my career exclusively to writing.  Here are some highlights of my writing experience:

  • Newera Software - Mianyang, China:  Consulting on software help and menu files.

  • Medcom/Trainex - Garden Grove, CA:  Audiovisual training programs, educational coordination and script editing.

  • Newport Pharmaceuticals International - Newport Beach, CA:  Preparation of foreign report translations for English publication, promotional copy, information booklets for physicians.

These roles are in addition to my years of project documentation and communication, as well as myriad promotional and creative projects.

  
     

ART & DESIGN

  
 

I've been immersed in art since childhood.  My family descends from Mathias Skeibrok, a renowned 19th-century Norwegian sculptor.  My cousin Lisa Reinertson is a sculptor with an international reputation.  My father painted most of the paintings that decorated the walls of our house when I was growing up.  My sister Julie has won prizes for her art, and my sister Nancy has degrees in design and architecture.  I've dabbled in artistic pursuits since I was old enough to scribble.
