  Poetry Site Tour

Simple but elegant, subtle, interspersed with windows through the darkness.

Here you'll find entertainment, sensuality, subtle humor, unrelenting self-aggrandizement, and...did somebody mention mystery?

Yes, that site logo in the upper-right corner is an adventure waiting to happen.

That's all you're getting out of me.  I've already said too much.

I made a little computer sketch to accompany each poem on the page.  Nothing fancy; we're going for minimalism here.

Links on top lead to other pages.  Links on the right-hand side take you directly to poems on this page.

More Poetry

I scrolled the page down to show you the next poem and some housekeeping details on the right.

Perhaps you're wondering about the JavaScripts link.  JavaScripts are web programs that help make a site more interactive.  If you'd like to try interacting with this site, click here and I'll take you there right now.  Go ahead—give it a try.  I might add more interactivity as time goes by.

Perhaps you're wondering why the angel doesn't have a face.  Unfortunately this is privileged information which cannot be disclosed to mere mortals.  And don't ask again.

Critiques

This is the scary part of the site.  Don't be afraid—it's only my son Jeremy, wearing a black mask to hide his hideous features.  Down, Jeremy!  Good boy—we don't claw the nice visitors.

This is where I show what people have said about my poems (or about me, maybe).  To show you what a brave guy I am, I provide a form at the right for anybody to critique anything they want.  I might even display negative comments, if they're particularly well-expressed or hilarious beyond belief.

Watch your step when filling out that form.  It has a few booby traps.  Just to keep you on your toes.

Flatulence

Known in the vernacular as "hot air," this is where I attempt to justify my existence with self-serving pontifications.

If you enjoy my attempts, there's plenty more.  Don't give up too soon—there's more to this site than meets the eye.

Each photo with a silver outline is a thumbnail.  If you click on the photo, a larger version appears in a new window.  This allows me to decorate the page with my photos without increasing page-loading time with large, high-resolution images, while providing an easy way to view the larger photo for those who want to enjoy the full esthetic experience.

Back Room

Hey, look who's here—it's Margaret!  Remember her?  I made a web site for her—you can tour her site here.  She's the one who got me started in this biz.

In gratitude for her contribution to my life, I keep her locked in a back room of my poetry site.  If you can find her, perhaps you can free her from her dark prison.
